Education

Despite the constant stream of information to which we are all subjected on a regular basis, education is still our standard of proper or organized learning. Essentially, in a system of education, there is an authority – commonly known as a “teacher” – who takes on one or more (usually more, in the standard classroom classroom setting) students who would then hopefully glean and understand more information with regards to the expertise of the authority. For the longest time, school education was the standard to which everyone holds up the worth of a person – if he or she is not “educated” then they clearly “know nothing” and would not be of any worth to society. Of course, as of late, the paradigm has been shifted, and now education primarily pertains to learning in the sense that one has been trained in the more formal or classic aspects of certain subjects. The duty of the educators then is to not necessarily be strict instructors, but more like mentors: they are meant to show standard modes of thought and action, and then later provide documentation acknowledging that a student has adequately understood everything that was taught. This documentation is often needed for decent employment, as they are proof that one has been “trained” with certain useful skills. There are many avenues of organized education nowadays, and it is always wise to take note of them. Ieducation is one of the most popular ones, at the moment.
